As you know TRAAC and NSRPH are co-hosting the CTRA 2012 national conference right here in Halifax! We are currently searching for volunteers to assist us in making this conference a great experience for everyone!

On Saturday April 28th, 2012 we held our TRAAC Awards Luncheon prior to our Annual General Meeting. The following TRAAC members were recipients of this yea'rs awards:

Dr. Linda Buettner Passes Away

The TR field has lost one of it's strongest advocates and most innovative researchers in the practice of dementia care. Dr. Linda Buettner passed away on April 26th, 2012 and is world renowned for her non-pharmalogical interventions including "Simple Pleasures" and her dementia practice guidelines, the "N.E.S.T." Approach. She will be missed by many, but her legacy in the TR field will live on as so many of us use her work in our everyday practice.
